I mainly used Maya, but I purchased a course to study 3ds max.
I was scared when I was trying to study and adapt to a new tool, but they started by setting up the tool and explained each and every seemingly complicated menu step by step.
I think it was easier to understand and stayed in my memory longer. When I first saw the stack system, I thought it was difficult and wondered what it was.
By following each exercise step by step, I was able to easily understand the concept of the stack and adapt quickly.
I already use Maya, so why should I learn Max? I had this thought, but there were many things that turned out to be really good things about learning Max.
The stack system, which is more convenient than expected, and the modeling method using splines, especially the retopology method using the ribbon tool, were nothing short of a culture shock to me, who had been working on retopology in Maya.
Onatrix also had great difficulty in making hair, so I felt the need to study, and it was a great luck for me that it came in a package with 3ds max.
Onatrix lectures are rare compared to other lectures and it is difficult to find Korean lectures, but they explain each and every function, starting with the theory.
I think this lecture is like the one and only Taeyang, as it provides practice on animal fur, eyebrows, texture creation, and various hairstyles.
As I followed the lecture and did various exercises, I was able to understand and adapt quickly and easily. Now that I have completed the lecture, I cannot say that my hair work is perfect, but the burden has been significantly reduced, and I am working on the parts I get stuck while remembering the teacher's work process.
Starting with the Witcher lecture, I took the 3ds max + Onatrix package lecture, and I think this lecture is also a very informative lecture with nothing ineffective from beginning to end.
As an aspiring character modeler, I think the Witcher and 3ds Max + Onatrix lectures are essential courses. Thank you so much for your help again. ^0^
